Project Manager – Workplace Projects

Location: Central London

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time, Hybrid

Salary: £60,000 – £70,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus


About the Role

We are partnering with a leading FM and workplace services organisation to recruit a Project Manager for its growing London team. This is an end-to-end role where the successful candidate will identify opportunities within existing client accounts, develop scopes and budgets, price and tender the work, manage delivery, and own the commercial performance. It suits someone with a background in FM, principal contracting, specialist contracting, or fit-out that's used to wearing multiple hats and owning the full project P&L.


Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop project opportunities within existing client portfolios
  • Manage projects from initial feasibility and scope development through to completion and handover
  • Price, tender and procure projects independently, including subcontractor and supplier engagement
  • Own full project P&L - budgeting, cost control, variation management and profitability
  • Act as principal contractor under CDM regulations, ensuring full health and safety compliance
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with corporate client stakeholders
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects across a diverse portfolio
  • Produce regular commercial and operational reports for senior leadership


Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven cradle-to-grave project delivery experience with full commercial ownership
  • Direct estimating and tendering experience
  • Strong P&L management (forecasting, cost control, variations)
  • Experience managing subcontractors, suppliers and external delivery partners
  • Knowledge of CDM regulations and principal contractor responsibilities
  • SMSTS certified and CSCS black card holder
  • Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills


Desirable

  • APM, PRINCE2 or equivalent qualification
  • NEBOSH
  • CAT A and CAT B office fit-out experience
  • JCT contract experience
  • Corporate or financial services project experience
  • Experience in occupied or live operational environments
